8. CUTOFF & FINALITY
Entries must be submitted before the first match begins
After cutoff:
Entries are locked
No edits allowed
Once matches begin:
All selections are final
9. MATCH SCORING RULES
Matches are scored based on:
90 minutes + stoppage time only
The following do NOT count:
Extra time
Penalties
Shootouts
10. SUSPENDED / POSTPONED / CANCELLED MATCHES
If a match is suspended, postponed, cancelled, delayed, or otherwise impacted for any reason, including but not limited to:
Weather conditions
Safety concerns
Human error
Stadium or field conditions
Technical issues
Government or league decisions
Any unforeseen or external circumstances
the following rules will apply:
Before Cutoff
The affected match may be replaced at the discretion of SkillContest
After Contest Start
The contest will follow the official decision of the league or governing body
Official Outcome Rules
If the match is officially declared final at any moment,
→ the score at that time will count as the final result for the contest
If the match is suspended and later resumed or replayed (same day or another day),
→ the contest will be placed on hold until the match is officially completed
Final Authority
All decisions regarding match outcomes will be based strictly on the official ruling of the league, federation, or governing body responsible for the match.
SkillContest does not determine match results and relies entirely on official sources.
11. PAYMENT & NO REFUND POLICY
All payments are final and non-refundable
No refunds for:
Missed entries
Incorrect predictions
Disqualification
Refunds would compromise prize integrity.
12. 💰 TAXES & IRS REPORTING
Prize winnings may be subject to U.S. tax laws.
SkillContest complies with all Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requirements
Winners may be required to:
Submit a W-9 form
Provide Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax ID
Prize payouts above applicable thresholds may be reported via:
1099-MISC or equivalent
Withholding & Compliance

Withhold payouts until tax documentation is completed
